The Blowups team consists of twenty-four enthusiastic professionals. A close-knit team with low staff turnover, most employees have been working at Blowups for over 5 years now.
Blowups has a flat hierarchy. The general management is in the hands of Roel Rasker. Together with his brother Hub, Roel founded Blowups in 1990.
Thanks to his training in design, Hub Rasker, as creative director, has a good connection with artists and creative designers. He understands their wishes and demands, and therefore is the best sparring partner when it comes to choosing the best technology and material to realise giant 3D objects. He makes the technical drawings CAD / CA, takes all possible pitfalls into account and ensures that the production process, transport, assembly and installation, run smoothly.
Jop Meuleman is business manager. In addition to his general management duties, he is also responsible for technical drawings, preperation of projects and he ensures that all needed materials get in on time.
Pascal Harting is a calculator and salesman, he is the first point of contact for clients.
In the workshop, the skilled and experienced Blowups workers use advanced machines, but also traditional tools and methods. Most professionals are trained and experienced in various disciplines, such as metalworking, woodworking, polyester processing, spraying and painting, sign, modelling, hand carving and (3D) milling.
Blowups also participates in the training of new professionals. As a recognized training company we offer students the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience on spatial design, decoration and restoration painting.
Roel Rasker, director Blowups:
“The fact that the makers also delivers and place the 3D object is greatly appreciated. Our customers enjoy speaking to the makers and it’s very motivating for our employees to personally get credit for it.”
