““Before I knew Blowups, I had to look for different professionals who could each make a part of my sculptures. That was both for me and those professionals difficult and time-consuming. My projects are not the easiest sculptures to make and it are always unique pieces. I am very happy with Blowups. One place where I have my designs executed without having to worry about accuracy and quality. In addition, they also arrange transportation, assembly and installation on site, which means one less worry for me.">[one_third_last]

Professional disciplines in-house
Blowups uses different materials for making solid 3D objects. Sometimes one material like wood, metal or polyester is the best solution but in general it is a combination of different materials. This means that the Blowups team has expertise and is experienced in many different disciplines.
The Blowups workshop is physically divided into the various disciplines:
- Construction design;
- 3D scanning;
- 3D CAD/CAM engineeren;
- Polyester processing;
- Casting synthetic resin;
- Modelling (creative, organic forms);
- 3D milling, 3d freesafdeling (computergestuurde CNC freesmachines);
- Vacuum forming;
- Spraying and painting;
Starting with a technical drawing (CAD / CAM) made by Blowups, all objects are produced in our own workshop in Heijen. Various professionals can be deployed for this, depending on the expertise and discipline required.
Blowups uses various materials such as wood, polyester, acrylic, polystyrene, PUR foam and metal to manufacture the solid sculptures. Sometimes one type of material is the best solution, but we usually use a combination of different materials. The delivery time strongly depends on the design and quantity of a project, but the average production time is 4 to 6 weeks.
